Professor Vladimir Avtonomov elected President of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought

The European Society for the History of Economic Thought (ESHET) was founded in 1995. Its aim is to study the history of economic thought in Europe, coordinate the work of national scientific societies studying this area, establish communication between researchers and teachers, organize conferences, seminars, summer schools, and develop new methods of teaching the history of economic thought. The society holds annual conferences, each devoted to a specific topic. One of them, which discussed the place of institutions and values ​​in the history of economic ideas, was held in St. Petersburg in 2012. Professor Vladimir Avtonomov will take up the presidency at the conference of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought in Padua in June 2022.
