Welcome aboard!
Starting September 2025, the Department of Theoretical Economics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (FES) will welcome a new member to its faculty: Dr. Sergei Mikhalishchev.
A native of Bratsk (Irkutsk region), Dr. Mikhalishchev began his academic journey in his hometown. He continued his studies in economics at the European University at St. Petersburg and earned his Ph.D. in Economics from CERGE-EI (Center for Economic Research & Graduate Education – Economics Institute) in the Czech Republic.
His primary research interests lie in information economics, political economy, finance, and behavioral economics. At FES, Dr. Mikhailshchev will teach the course "Microeconomics-2" for undergraduate students.
