Laboratory of Sports Studies Presents 5 Papers at MathSport International 2025

Researchers from the Laboratory of Sports Studies presented their work at the major MathSport International conference, held at the University of Luxembourg.

The following papers were presented at the conference:

1. Yulia Alekseenko. The Impact of Geoclimate Factors on Performance of Football Teams. (joint with Dmitry Dagaev, Darya Tabashnikova, and Gleb Vasiliev).
2. Dmitry Dagaev. Implicit Centipedes, or Do the Racers Compete Strategically? (joint with Daniil Sarikov and Gleb Vasiliev).
3. Andrei Smirnov. From Advantage to Action: How Managers Adapt to External Conditions Strategically.
4. Ilya Sumernikov. Choking Under Pressure in Online Chess: Performance Decline Among Elite Players in High-Stakes Matches. (joint with Dmitry Dagaev, Petr Parshakov, and Gleb Vasiliev).
5. Darya Tabashnikova. Gender differences and peer effects: The case of marathons. (joint with Anna Gushchina, Sofia Pirogova, and Igor Tylkin).

Conference participants noted the generally high level of the papers presented, and the comments raised during the discussions will help the authors refine their research further.
