Laboratory of Sports Studies Research Assistants Presented at the European Sport Economics Association Conference

The 16th Conference of the European Sport Economics Association took place in Innsbruck, Austria, on August 27–29, 2025. Sabina Kosimova, Ekaterina Lodneva, and Andrei Smirnov presented the results of their research at the conference.

Sabina Kosimova presented the paper 'Is Wage Dispersion Just a Proxy for Ability Dispersion?', co-authored with Dennis Coates (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) and Petr Parshakov (International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy).

Ekaterina Lodneva presented the paper 'Risky Behavior in Professional Volleyball', based on joint work with Dmitry Dagaev and Elina Ibragimova.

Andrei Smirnov presented the results of the project 'From Advantage to Action: How Managers Adapt to External Conditions Strategically'.

After incorporating the feedback and recommendations received, these papers will be submitted to academic journals in the near future.
