The School was founded in 2007 as part of the Faculty of Economics. Currently the School is the only educational department in the Russian higher education system which prepares statistical economists. Education at the School is geared towards world academic traditions of preparing analytic economists with in-depth knowledge of statistics. Apart from a basic fundamental education, students also get the specialized knowledge and skills necessary for successful practical work.
