Daniel Ahn
(Johns Hopkins University, Washington, DC, USA)

Dr. Daniel P. Ahn is an Adjunct Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, where he teaches graduate courses on energy economics, finance, and security studies. Dr. Ahn is the Deputy Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of State, where he advises the Secretary and other principals on a wide range of economic and security topics critical to US foreign policy. Previously, he led Policy Analysis at the State Department's Bureau of Energy Resources. 

   
Miklos Koren
(Central European University, Budapest, Hungary)

Miklós Koren is an associate professor in the Department of Economics of Central European University and a research fellow at the Institute of Economics. His research interests are in international trade and economic growth. His current research focuses on the firm-level effects of imported inputs and imported machinery, the dynamics of export flows in disaggregate data, and the diversification of volatility across trading partners. 

Miklós received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2005. He also holds an M.A. from Central European University (2000) and a B.A. from Corvinus University Budapest (1999). Before coming to CEU, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and was the 2007 Peter Kenen Visiting Fellow at Princeton University.

   
Gerhard Sorger
(University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria)

Gerhard Sorger is a Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Vienna. His research focuses on the mathematical properties of dynamic economic models and their solutions. These models include dynamic optimisation problems, dynamic games, and dynamic competitive equilibrium models. Regarding application areas his research focus on macroeconomics (especially economic growth theory and monetary policy) and resource economics. His works are published in such international journals as Econometrica, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, European Economic Review among others.

 

   
Natalya Volchkova
(New Economic School, Moscow, Russia)

Natalya Volchkova is a Professor of Economics at New Economic School. She is also a researcher at the Central Institute of Economics and Mathematics (CEMI), Russian Academy of Science. Natalya Volchkova is a policy director of the Center of Economic and Financial Reseach (CEFIR), one of the leading centre of trade and policy analysis in Russia. She joined CEFIR when it was founded in 2000. Natalya's research interests include international trade, growth and development, resource economy.
