On September 27, the 2023 Exchange Fair took place in the atrium of the HSE University building on Pokrovsky Bulvar as part of the annual International Partners’ Week. Representatives of the world’s leading universities told students about the opportunities available under academic mobility programmes.

The forum was held as part of HSE University’s International Partners' Week, which coincides with Russia’s chairship of the EAEU and is aimed at connecting the strategies and initiatives of its participants in the fields of education, science, and technology. The forum was attended by representatives from 23 countries and more than 40 scientific and educational organisations. HSE University’s Support and Career Centre for International Students and Alumni has held orientation sessions for incoming international students. During the meetings, the centre’s experts explained the visa and migration support available, talked about extracurricular student life, and gave tours of the campus and the city.

HSE University has risen 17 places in the list of top world universities and remains among the top five Russian universities in the Three University Missions Moscow International University Ranking (MosIUR).

A delegation from Mofid University has visited HSE University. Representatives of the Iranian university expressed interest in cooperation with HSE in the framework of research projects and educational programmes in the field of economics, legal aspects of the Islamic system of finance and other areas. The parties also discussed the opportunities for launching a joint academic mobility programme.

SuperJob has published its annual ranking of Russian universities by salary earned by young professionals working in finance and economics. The ranking was based on data on university graduates for the period 2017–2022.

On May 18, 2023, HSE University and the University of Technology Malaysia signed an agreement on scientific and educational cooperation at the XIV International Economic Forum ‘Russia—Islamic World: KazanForum’. The agreement was signed by HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov and UTM Vice Chancellor Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail.

For the third year running, HSE University has come first in the ranking of the 100 best universities in Russia, published for the fifth time by Forbes magazine.

HSE University has taken first place in the ranking of entrepreneurial universities compiled by the ‘Expert’ analytical centre. In four years, the university has risen by five positions. This year, HSE University received the maximum number of points in the categories ‘Founders’, ‘Startups’ and ‘Investments’.

HSE University is one of the best Russian universities (4th place) and consistently ranks among the top 150 best universities in the world (142nd place) according to the Three University Missions world ranking that has been published since 2017.
