Ekaterina Kulinicheva gave a lecture on the history of sports shoes in St. Petersburg

The lecture was held at the venue of the lecture project "Common Thing" on the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, which acquaints the public with the studies of everyday life and is engaged in their popularization. The lecture was devoted to three main topics: how can a historian answer the traditionally popular with the audience question on when sports shoes ceased to be just a functional subject of specialized wardrobe and got out of the gym to city streets and pages of fashion columns; what is the "cultural biography" of things and how it can be useful to the ordinary consumer; how the cultural biography of sports shoes was formed.
