The traditional EconomFest gathered students, staff, applicants, and friends of the Faculty of Economic Sciences in the HSE University building on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The event programme featured tours, contests, and treats alongside anti-lectures, networking, and congratulations from the faculty’s administration. The students shared extracurricular life tips with school children, and alumni looked for new colleagues among senior students.

The winners of the Student Research Paper Competition were given their awards at HSE University on Pokrovsky Boulevard. The ‘Outstanding Alumni Endowment’ scholarship was given to the authors of the best works in the ‘Economics’, ‘Sociology’ and ‘Political Science’ categories.
Zaruhi Hakobyan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Yerevan, her Master’s from HSE University, and her PhD from both HSE University and the University of Luxembourg. She spoke to the HSE News Service about the differences in academic approaches at various universities.

This year for the first time in HSE history, the graduation ceremony will take place at one time for all four HSE campuses. Almost 11,000 students from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm will gather online to bid the university farewell and celebrate the next chapter in their lives.
