Pre-defense of PhD dissertation of Zaruhi Hakobyan was held at the Department of Theoretical Economics on May 18, 2020
Zaruhi Hakobyan is a PhD student of the Department of Theoretical Economics and of the University of Luxembourg (double PhD).
Her research advisors are Eren Arbatli, Assistant Professor of the Department of Theoretical Economics and Professor Christos Koulovatianos from the University of Luxembourg.
Zaruhi's reseach interests are in the field of microeconomics, information economics, communication in social networks, manipulation information, cooperative game theory and contract theory. The title of her PhD dissertation is "Essays on Networks, Information Economics, and Dynamic Games of Populism and Conflict". The dissertation was reviewed by  Maarten Janssen, Professor of Vienna University and the Department of Theoretical Economics, Kivanc Akoz, Assistant Professor of the Department of Theoretical Economics and Alexey Zakharov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical Economics.
It was a first pre-defense in online format for the Department of Theoretical Economics.
