Become a Productive Student by Studying at HSE University

My name is Faiz Arsyad, I'm from Indonesia. I am a first year student at the Faculty of Economic Sciences.
Until this December, I have been studying at HSE University for 6 months. I got a lot of new knowledge and experiences. I also made lots of new friends from Russia and various countries such as Austria, Serbia, Italy, Spain, India, and others in the International Student Network (ISN) organization. I really became a productive student with various activities such as conferences, forums, cultural festivals and lectures.
I took part in various activities representing HSE University, including the International Day of Export Import held by the Association of Export Import Entrepreneurs of the Russian Federation. In these activities, I gained a lot of new knowledge such as opportunities, strategies and the Export-Import market of the Russian Federation. I studied and got to know great people such as the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Governor of the Kursk region, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and many others. It was truly an extraordinary experience as an international student at HSE University and Russia.
Apart from that, I also took part in the Agro-Outlook Russia 2022 Conference. At the conference, I learned about the plans, needs and predictions of the agricultural sector in the Russian Federation for the next 10 years. For me, the Conference was very interesting because Russia is also the largest exporting country of foods such as grains, oil, sunflower and sugar in the world. The conference really opened my mind about the importance of agriculture globally for the future and for the sustainability of human life. At the conference I learned and got acquainted with the Director of the FAO of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the VEB of the Russian Federation, Director General of the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies, Professor of Moscow State University, and many others. A very extraordinary and interesting conference to attend.
I also took part in the "HSE Career Marathon" by visiting the stands of companies in Russia who came to the event. I got a lot of information about my future career! This activity also proves that HSE University really cares about the careers of each alumni, so they can continue to develop for the better. I also took part in the "HSE Is The World" festival which is an activity that can unite students from various countries studying at HSE University. I tried on traditional clothes, food, and got typical souvenirs from each country. I also got acquainted with many international students from various countries and it seemed that I had friends from every country. My country, namely Indonesia, also opened a booth and we gave souvenirs and special food from Indonesia. We also teach international students from various countries about musical instruments, Indonesian language and traditional clothing. What a fun activity!
For me, studying at HSE University is an extraordinary opportunity and advantage. Because I can get knowledge from professors who are experts in their fields, network with international students from various countries, and get complete and modern facilities! I highly recommend that you study at HSE University, because you will be able to develop yourself for the better.
Btw, as HSE University just turns 30 on November 27th, I would like to wish HSE University a Happy Birthday. Hopefully HSE University will continue to be the best international campus in the world and Russia.
