LSS took an active part in the International Conference on Economics of Football
Higher School of Economics (HSE), New Economic School (NES) and Khazar University hosted the III International Scientific Conference on the Economics of Football in Baku. The staff of LSS presented 4 reports at the conference.
The International Conference on the Economics of football has already become a tradition. In 2017, it was timed to coincide with the Confederations Cup, and in 2018, with the World Cup. In 2019, the conference was held on the days of the final of the UEFA Europa League in the capital of Azerbaijan.
The staff of LSS presented 4 reports on the results of their research at the conference. Fedor Kabanov described how Financial Fair Play has changed since the introduction of the spending restriction policy. Daniil Shaposhnikov told about players' football actions on the field are underestimated by the market. Stepan Emelianenko showed that teams that have a more difficult start of the championship in accordance with the calendar show more poor results. Igor Tylkin presented the results of the effectiveness analysis for players who play against their previous team.
