Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno celebrates its Anniversary!
On behalf of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, HSE University, Professor Elena Vakulenko congratulated the partners on their 85th Anniversary.
On 27 February the conference "Student-Centred University: Continuity and Traditions of Education, Innovations and Development Prospects" began its work at the Yanka Kupala State University in Grodno.
The main goal of the conference was to involve scientists, specialists, experts in the field of education and science in the discussion of issues related to the peculiarities of the functioning of higher education systems, which require the introduction of new technologies, methods and approaches to the education and training of the younger generation.
More than 150 scientists from leading higher education institutions of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, Serbia and other countries took part in the anniversary conference.

On behalf of our Faculty, I had the honour of congratulating our partners and colleagues at Yanka Kupala University in Grodno on the occasion of their 85th anniversary. The jubilee celebrations lasted a whole week and ended with a two-day international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the jubilee of the University "Student-centred University: Continuity and Traditions of Education, Innovations and Prospects for Development". My report at the plenary session was dedicated to innovative approaches in education, in particular practice-oriented online masters programmes. I discussed with my colleagues the trends, key benefits, challenges and prospects of online education.
Colleagues welcomed me as an honoured guest and invited me to the solemn extended meeting of the university's Academic Council, where the city administration and international delegations congratulated the heads, faculty and students on the university's anniversary. The celebrations culminated in a concert at the Grodno Regional Philharmonic Society.
The Kupalovs are carefully preserving their educational traditions, multiplying them, actively developing them and taking a leading position among the universities of the Republic of Belarus.
