559 teachers have been selected, and 442 of them will receive academic bonuses.

This year's election marked a record turnout: 85% of students at HSE University in Moscow voted. The majority of students submitted their scores online via LMS, while ICEF and HSE-NES students voted via their own system.

For the first time, exchange students’ votes were taken into account in a separate category, as well as those cast by students in special disciplines of the faculty pool (minors) of the Faculty of Humanities. In total, according to the election results, 416 faculty members were recognized as best teachers.

HSE alums could also vote. As part of the annual autumn Alumni Monitoring, graduates could indicate the names of three teachers whose work and support made the biggest impression on them over the course of their studies at HSE University. 130 teachers with the most votes in this survey are also among the winners.

The competition recognizes not only instructors, but also academic supervisors of students who won the Student Research Paper Competition. This year 110 faculty members were recognized in this category.

87 teachers won in several categories (students’ choice, alumni’s choice, best academic supervisors): 78 teachers were recognized in two of the categories simultaneously, while 9 teachers were recognized in all three. 151 faculty members were voted best teachers three (or more) times in a row and will receive higher bonuses.
