Educational Trajectories of Graduates from the Faculty of Economic Sciences: Survey Results

The results of a survey conducted by the staff of the International Office among graduates of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at HSE University in May-June 2025 revealed interesting patterns regarding the educational trajectories of FES students. A total of 90 bachelor's graduates and 103 master's graduates from FES participated in the survey, accounting for 18.9% of all respondents.
Bachelor's Degree
According to the data obtained, the majority of FES graduates are inclined to pursue further education. Specifically, 61.1% of bachelor's graduates plan to continue their studies at Russian universities, 12.2% at foreign universities, while only 26.7% stated that they are currently ready to forgo further education. Among the surveyed graduates, 23.3% decided to remain at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, 28.8% chose other faculties within our university, and 8.8% plan to apply to other Russian universities for a master's degree.

Master's Degree
Among the master's graduates from FES, 25.2% expressed their willingness to continue their studies at Russian universities, 8.7% at foreign universities, while a significant portion, comprising 66%, currently does not plan to pursue further education. Among the surveyed master's graduates, 14.5% chose the Faculty of Economic Sciences for further studies, 2.9% selected other faculties at HSE University, and 7.7% are considering other Russian universities.

International Cooperation
It is worth noting that 12.2% of bachelor's graduates and 8.7% of master's graduates from FES plan to continue their education abroad, with some already receiving offers for admission to foreign educational institutions. Among these are prestigious universities such as:
