Zaruhi Hakobyan Shortlisted for HSE Alumni Awards
Zaruhi Hakobyan, master’s graduate of the HSE University Faculty of Economic Sciences and research scientist at the University of Luxembourg, is involved not only in research but also in organising academic events for young scientists and students. As a foreign graduate of HSE University, Zaruhi was nominated for the HSE Alumni Awards ‘for her tireless enthusiasm in popularising economic science, teaching, and research at the international level’ and made the shortlist.

On December 19, the atrium of the HSE Pokrovka building hosted the ‘HSE Is the World’ festival, which brought together over 20 student cultural clubs and associations. Their representatives told the participants about the winter holiday traditions of various nationalities, ran quizzes, and held games. The event was organised by the HSE Department of Internationalisation.
Early-Career Researchers from HSE University and Shanghai University Exchange Best Practices
On December 15, the Second Sino-Russian Economic Cooperation Workshop–Youth Forum took place online. The event was organised jointly by HSE University and the Shanghai University School of Economics. HSE University has signed a cooperation agreement with Panamerican University (Universidad Panamericana, UP), a leading Mexican higher education institution. The document was signed at the initiative of HSE University-St Petersburg during the university's academic mission to Latin America.
Student Mobility Development: HSE University Delegation Visits Chinese University of Hong Kong
In early November 2023, a delegation from HSE University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen. HSE University representatives took part in CUHK-Shenzhen 2023 International Partner Day and discussed the existing student exchange agreement with colleagues from China.

HSE University Signs Exchange and Cooperation Agreements at International Partners’ Week
From September 25–29, HSE University hosted International Partners’ Week, which was attended by representatives from 23 countries. As part of the event, a series of cooperation and exchange agreements was signed with universities and organisations from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Ghana, China, and Japan.
