Free online courses taught by the best HSE lecturers are available on two global educational platforms - Coursera and the National Open Education Platform.
Click on the title of a course to go to the description page and sign up.
Since 2016, most HSE online courses published on Coursera are offered "on-demand", which means that a learner can join in at any time, as most on-demand courses are re-launched every 4 weeks.
Learners also have an option to get a Course Certificate that confirms a successful completion of the course. In order to obtain such a Course Certificate a learner should pay a certain fee and pass all graded assignments in the course. Coursera offers a Financial Aid to those who cannot afford paying the fee, which has already helped thousands of HSE online course participants.
HSE is one of the 8 founding universities of National Open Education Platform, which was launched in the Fall 2015. Currently, 92 courses produced by the leading Russian universities (MEPhI, UrFU, MSU, MISiS, ITMO, SPSU and SPbPU) are offered on the platform and this number is constantly growing.
Since 2016, all HSE online course participants on the National Open Education Platform have had an opportunity to get a confirmed Course Certificate. This type of Certificate is an quivalent of academic transcript and allows to transfer the earned credits into their home institution degree. It requires passing the final test with a live remote proctoring service (1000 rubles on 2016).
Each course itself presented on the National Open Education Platform is absolutely free for any kind of participants.
