On June 21, 2017, Times Higher Education (THE) published its ranking of the best universities in Europe 2017, in which HSE, along with St. Petersburg State University, Novosibirsk State University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and Kazan Federal University, is ranked in the 201-250 group.
The Higher School of Economics (HSE) has improved its position and taken 382nd place in the 2017 QS Ranking, which was published on June 7, 2017.
In its 25th anniversary year, HSE has marked new achievements, entering the Top 50 in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings among universities under 30 years old, and in the Top 100 in the global Young University Rankings under 50. HSE has become the first Russian university to enter the top list of THE Young Universities, a global institutional ranking.
HSE is among the leaders in 8 out of 35 indicators in the latest U-Multirank ranking, including student mobility, graduate entrepreneurial activity, and income from continuous professional development.
The new QS Graduate Employability Rankings reflects the relation between a university’s activities and graduate employment. HSE placed in 201+ group.
Higher School of Economics (HSE) is the sole Russian academic institution to appear on the ranking’s Top-100 for ‘Business and Economics’, holding the 83rd spot.
Higher School of Economics (HSE) moved from the 501-550 to the 411-420 group on the QS World University Ranking for 2016/17.
HSE took first place among Russian universities in subject rankings for Sociology and Economics & Econometrics (101-150 globally). In Business & Management Studies, HSE ranked first and is currently the only Russian university in the ranking, placing in the 151-200 group.
The Faculty of Economics is ranked third in Russia and in top 10% globally in RePec April rankings of the best Economics institutions. HSE itself is ranked first in Russia and 151st globally. HSE is also in the 5% of best institutions in the world in the field of Economics. Other HSE departments recognized by the ranking are HSE St Petersburg, which comes third on the list of the best Economics Institutions in Russia and is in the top 10% of Economics Institutions worldwide and The Centre for Market Studies and Spatial Economics which is also in the top 10% globally.
