Employment and work (rendering of services) by a foreign student

Simplified procedure for obtaining citizenship by a foreign graduate
A foreign citizen who has graduated from the Higher School of Economics, permanently resides in Russia and has been working in the Russian Federation overall for at least 1 year before the day of applying for Russian citizenship can obtain citizenship in a simplified manner, i.e. without complying with the condition of a 5-year period of permanent residence in the Russian Federation (paragraph "e" of the second part of Article 14 of the Law on Citizenship). At the same time, during this period, the employer must accrue insurance premiums to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.
How to get a Red Diploma
To get a RED or WIth Honors diploma one should get only “excellent” grades for their Research Thesis - for pre-defense and defense (8 or 9 or 10 points). They should not have even one “satisfactory” grade in their HSE transcript (satisfactory are 5 and 4 ). At least 75% of the grades should be “excellent” - 8, 9 and 10, the rest should be “good” - 6 and 7.
Temporary residence permit (TRP) by a foreign graduate with an honors degree from HSE University
A temporary residence permit may be issued to a foreign citizen who has successfully completed a state-accredited full-time study program and received a diploma with honors without taking into account the quota approved by the Government of the Russian Federation (subparagraph 1 of paragraph 3 of Article 6 of Law No. 115).
Features of obtaining a residence permit (residence permit) by a foreign graduate with an honors degree
A foreign citizen who has successfully completed a state-accredited full-time study program and received a diploma with honors can obtain a residence permit without obtaining a temporary residence permit (subparagraph 11 of paragraph 2 of Article 8 of Law No. 115).
