Research assistant of LSS and senior student of HSE and NES Joint Programme in Economics Igor Karpov was admitted to the PhD program in Economics at the University of Chicago! Congratulations to Igor!

More than 40,000 participants from 183 countries have already registered for the Open Doors Scholarship Competition. The competition, which is held by the Association of Global Universities, gives international applicants the opportunity to enroll tuition-free in a Master’s programme of a participating Russian university of their choice without having to take entrance exams. The deadline to submit your portfolio for consideration is December 18.

On November 27, the HSE University held its 18^th annual Golden HSE Award Ceremony in honour of colleagues who have demonstrated excellence in research or have contributed in a meaningful way to the HSE community. The special occasion coincided with the university’s 27^th anniversary.

In early August, this year’s HSE Summer University comes to a close. For the first time, the school welcomed a group of Russian students from Far Eastern Federal University.

This year, 14 students and graduates of HSE's Faculty of Economic Sciences were admitted to PhD programmes at leading universities in the U.S. and Europe. Ten of them are undergraduates:

On March 5, 2019, a team from HSE successfully competed in the finals of the regional stage of the 2018-2019 CFA Institute Research Challenge and is now going to Europe for the next round of the completion which will take place in Zurich on April 10. The winners of the European stage will then go on to the Global Finals in New York.
