331 bachelor students and 204 master students were awarded degrees at the end of June. Among them 65 students were awarded Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude.

For two days 27 and 28 June conference hall Trifonovskiy got filled with graduates, dressed in robes with gold collars and the Faculty of Economic Sciences coat of arms embroidery. Graduates of the three bachelor's and eight master's programs  were presented with their well-deserved diplomas.  

Traditionally, both ceremonies were opened by the sound of students' anthem "Gaudeamus". The Faculty Dean Professor Oleg Zamulin gave a speech congratulating new graduates. He mentioned the recent achievements of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, reflected in the high ranking of HSE University in "Economics and Econometrics" and "Finance" fields. Professor Zamulin emphasized the role of graduates and their successful careers that are one of the key parameters in the world rankings. The Dean invited new graduates to visit Shabolovka with their ideas, initiatives, challenges and issues.

In 2016, fifty one undergraduate and fourteen graduate students received Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude diplomas. Twenty-three graduates of bachelor programs were recognized by honorary certificates for their contribution to the social and cultural life of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.Thanks to these students, constituting the core of the Student Council of the Faculty of Economic Sciences (SSFE), their ideas, thеir passion and creativity the students' life was enriched by bright large-scale and truly professional projects like "Freshmen", HSE Valentine's Day, "EconomFest" student festival, the Spring Ball, Summer travel, the M.O.R.E., March 238, HSE Ice Age, New Year Fair at Shabolovka, tutoring, and many others.
