Originally from Russia, Alina Shirshikova graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, got her MSc at University of Bonn and pursued her PhD at Maastricht University.

Her primary research field is labor economics, with a special focus on the economics of education and migration, and an interest in gender aspects of public policies.

We are very happy to have Alina as a new member of our team and wish her best of luck!
