Faculty of Economic Sciences is proud to welcome Dr. Oleg Baranov, new Assistant Professor of the Department of Theoretical Economics, hired by the faculty under HSE University international recruitment procedure.

Originally from Russia, Dr. Oleg Baranov got BA at Lomonosov Moscow State University, his MA at New Economic School and pursued his Ph.D at University of Maryland.
He had been working as an Assistant Professor at University of Colorado at Boulder from 2011 to 2022. He has 6 publications in high ranked international academic journals. His primary research fields are Game Theory, Microeconomics, Computational Economics. In the upcoming academic year Oleg will be teaching Microeconomics-2 and Applied Market Desigh for the undergraduate students of FES.
