On December 12–13, 2025, the School of Finance of the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences will host the Third International Annual Conference ‘ESG Corporate Dynamics: the Challenges for Emerging Capital Markets.’ Representatives of leading Russian and international universities will discuss the issues involved in companies’ transition to sustainable development principles and in managing new types of risk.

After analysing the price fluctuations of almost 2,000 cryptocurrencies over seven years, Victoria Dobrynskaya, Associate Professor at the HSE University Faculty of Economic Sciences, found that there are no fundamental differences between their behaviour and that of conventional assets. Cryptocurrency follows the same principles, although its prices change much faster: processes that usually take years on traditional markets take only a month or so on the cryptocurrency market. The HSE School of Finance recently held a roundtable discussion dedicated to public non-financial reporting. The keynote presentation was delivered by Stefano Zambon, Professor at the University of Ferrara (Italy), who is also the Chairman of the World Intellectual Capital Initiative (WICI), a global network engaged in the systematization and dissemination of information on the intellectual capital indicators and modes for presenting it in non-financial reporting.

Professor Jean-Malik Dumas from Tilburg University discusses these and other issues in an interview with HSE News Service. He has recently visited HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences under Erasmus Plus programme to teach an elective course in Finance for Master’s students of Strategic Corporate Finance programme.

From June 2017 a Bloomberg hub offering unlimited data access will be available at the HSE building at 26 Shabolovka. The Bloomberg database comprises extensive, constantly updated data on global and national capital markets, transactions involving financial assets, derivatives, as well as market liquidity options, trading applications and news flow.
