Registration is now open for the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project, Russia’s first competition for international students applying to Master’s programmes. With registration open until January 15, 2018, the competition consists of two remote stages: a portfolio contest and an online contest. The first stage will take place from December 1 to January 15.

Angelina Volosevich, Marina Goncharenko, Tamerlan Tuaev and Malika Shaikhutdinova, first-year students from the 'Strategic Corporate Finance' Master’s programme have won ‘Oliver Wyman Impact 2017’, a business case competition that was held on March 3rd at the Ararat Park Hyatt Hotel, Moscow.

Lijia Lin is a first-year student in the English-taught Strategic Corporate Finance Master’s Programme at the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences. He was born and raised in Beijing and, after finishing high school, studied economics and mathematics at the University of Michigan in the United States. When Lijia Lin graduated in December 2015, his advisor suggested that he continued his education at the Higher School of Economics.

HSE is becoming more and more popular among foreign students. We talked to English speaking graduates of the English-taught Master’s programme System and Software Engineering and found out about their experience of studying in HSE, life in Moscow, and what do they do as professionals now.

The new master program Statistical Modelling and Actuarial Science is for students interested in mastering modern probability, statistics methodology, and modelling methods in economic processes, as well as mathematics of insurance theory. Core courses will be instructed by the members of the international Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications.
