A group of laboratory staff headed by Professor Fuad Aleskerov returned from the Arctic University of Norway (UiT). The HSE scholars and students participated in the first field course which was held from September 24 to September 28, 2018 as part of a three-year project on international cooperation between NRU HSE and the Arctic University of Norway (UiT).

This week Faculty of Economic Sciences hosted HSE and University of Vienna joint workshop on Information Acquisition, Diffusion and Disclosure in Markets.

DeCAn lab organized a visit of Professors M. Grabisch and A. Rusinowska-Grabisch from Centre d’Economie de la Sorbonne of University Paris I (France). On November 22 a course of lectures was held.

Dean of DeCAn laboratory Professor F. Aleskerov with our faculty have visited Molde University College - Specialized University in Logistics from October 7 to October 15 for a joint work on the Norwegian-Russian academic collaboration project "Logistical and environmental management of natural resources development and transportation in the Arctic area (Arctic Logistics)"

DeCAn lab organized two events which were held from September 25 to September 28 - a school "Decision making in network context" (September 25-26, 2017) and an international workshop "The 7th Murat Sertel Workshop on Economic Design, Decision, Institutions, and Organization" (September 27-28, 2017). DeCAn faculty took part in organizing and holding these events.

This year the 12th Annual International Workshop on ‘Intangibles, Intellectual Capital and Extra-Financial Information’ was held in Russia for the first time. The workshop was organized by the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) in cooperation with HSE and the University of Ferrara.

Zaruhi Hakobyan, Research Master Program in Economics alumna and prospective doctoral student at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, shares her impressions on the participating in Israeli Victor Rothschild Memorial Symposium. In summer 2016 four students from the Faculty of Economic Sciences attended, three of them were partially funded by the Symposium and the Faculty of Economic Sciences.

This year the HSE Moscow Faculty of Economic Sciences will be represented by a master student from the research program in economics and three undergraduate students.

Lectures by Professor Theodor Trafalis (university of Oklahoma, USA) were held on "Kernel Methods with Imbalanced Data and Applications to Weather Prediction" (May 23, 2016) and "Bayesian Kernel Methods for Classification and Online Learning Problems" (May 24, 2016)
