was HSE team’s result at the Chess Tournament of the XXIX Moscow Student Games. Our students won all of their seven matches, beating their fiercest competitor, MSU, by five points.
On December 20, 2016, the ZIL Cultural Centre hosted this year’s Golden HSE awards ceremony. This year saw several significant changes to the award rules: new nominations have appeared, many of them were divided into categories for different groups of employees — all to help ensure HSE was able to express its gratitude to a larger number of worthy candidates.
Second-year student in the HSE/NES Programme in Economics, Maksim Vavulin, placed second in the FIDE World Youth Under 18 Chess Championship. The championship took place in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from September 21st through October 5th.
Students from universities in Russia and abroad have until October 31st to submit their applications for HSE’s open competition for research conducted in business informatics, computer science, mathematics, media communications, and political science.

The International Office of the Faculty of Economic Sciences in collaboration with the HSE Faculty of Communications, Media and Design has organized the first Moscow exhibition of the famous photographer.
HSE Professor Konstantin Sonin has accepted an invitation from Chicago University to serve as a Professor in its Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies. Chicago University is one of the world’s top 10 academic institutions, and the Harris School is one of the United States’ top 5 analytical centers on public policy.
On February 24 – 25 the semifinal and final of the largest championship in the pharmaceutical field, theSanofi Health Guardians, took place in Moscow. Students from the ICEF and HSE Faculty of Economics Radmila Khusainova, German Bushin, Ivan Fokin, Kamila Musina, Alexander Nosulich and Oleg Kheifets won the contest.
