The team of the intercampus project “From Search to Analysis: A Complete Guide to Work with Scientific Literature” is launching a series of seminars to help the academic community of our university effectively navigate the rapidly changing world of scientific information. During October, leading experts from the Higher School of Economics will give 5 open lectures to a wide audience on the use of bibliometric and digital tools for literature search and analysis.

Petr Garmider, 27, from Uzbekistan, received his master’s degree from HSE University in 2022. Today, he works at one of Russia’s most popular music streaming services, where he develops algorithms that recommend music tracks for users. In his interview with the HSE News Service, Petr shares his experiences as a graduate student and early-career data scientist.

Dmitry Smyslov earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2004 and his Master’s from the Faculty of Economic Sciences in 2006. From 2006 until 2011, worked for MTS, becoming the youngest Department Director in company history. Over the past 10 years, has managed personnel for such major companies as Mail.ru, the Moscow Stock Exchange, Philip Morris International, and others. Awarded First Place for Financial Sector HR Directors in the Top 1,000 Russian Managers rating of 2017
