Prof. Dr Thomas Dohmen from the Institute for Applied Microeconomics, University of Bonn, Germany is to deliver an honorary lecture at the upcoming April Academic Conference at HSE University April 9 – 12. HSE News Service spoke with Dr. Dohmen about his work on the Global Preferences Survey (GPS), an international survey of epic proportions that he helped develop and analyze in order to learn whether individuals differ in terms of economic preferences by country, and more.


On March 12 and 13 the Faculty of Economic Sciences at HSE hosted Professor Cristina Rovera of the University of Turin who delivered two lectures about crowdfunding. ‘Russia and Italy can share our experiences, activities, and professional research,’ the Italian professor noted. ‘Last year, Professor Irina Ivashkovskaya (HSE) came to Italy to teach Corporate Finance. This marked the beginning of a profitable relationship, and I hope it turns into something long-term.’



HSE students participated in Creation Lab, an annual international business hackathon, which is organized as part of the World Business Dialogue in Cologne. The forum’s partner educational, power and retail businesses will implement the best of the suggested solutions in their operations.
