The next speaker at the FES International Research Seminar Series was Associate Professor Quoc-Anh Do, Sciences Po (Institute of Political Studies).

A weather vane in the shape of a big-beaked bird has appeared near the HSE building on Myasnitskaya Street in Moscow. The Crow’s ceremonial unveiling coincided with the 85^th birthday of HSE Academic Supervisor Evgeny Yasin, who initiated it as our university’s mascot.

Research assistant of LSS and senior student of joint program of "Economics" of HSE and NES Maxim Vavulin was admitted to master's program in Finance at Bocconi University. 

Anna Kozhina, a Research Assistant at HSE’s international Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications, earned her PhD at Heidelberg University in Germany with highest distinction and earned an academic degree of the first category  from HSE’s new Dissertation Committee. This year Anna’s dissertation was awarded the Wilma-Moser prize, which recognizes the best work among female graduate students in the natural sciences. In an interview with HSE News Service, Anna discussed what made her fall in love with mathematics and how science keeps her on her toes.

VI annual PhD workshop "Financial Markets and Corporate Strategies: Comparative Studies" was held on 13th April,organized by School of Financewithin the 20th Annual April International Conference on Economic and Social Development.

The new patented method is based on a superposition of functions and considerably enhances the speed and precision of Big Data processing. The project’s authors are Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor at HSE and Head of the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis, Laboratory Researchers Sergey Shvydun, Evgeny Mitichkin and Vyacheslav Yakuba, as well as Vyacheslav Chistyakov, Professor at the HSE Campus in Nizhny Novgorod.
